Vintage 2014 ... was smooth, healthy, good quality and quantity but a little early. In general, it is likely to be a good vintage. There are 6 barrels of Pinot Noir resting quietly; 1 barrel of Merlot; and 3 barrels of Chardonnay. Bottling is planned in early 2016.
Wine making... The addition of the VCR 18 clone to the Pinot Noir mix is helping push toward brighter red fruit in the profile. We have also made a point to pick a little earlier to get lower sugar and higher acid levels. And we have gone to 100% French oak.
